Former program phased out

Before the Chair of Repository Safety (ELS) was established, it was called "Nuclear Engineering and Technology Transfer (NET)".

In cooperation with the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, the Department of Simulation in Nuclear Engineering and the Research Center Jülich, NET offered the master's program Nuclear Safety Engineering. This master's program, which was unique in Germany, has unfortunately been discontinued.

Starting in the winter semester of 2022/2023, there will be a new Master's program in English. Here, the focus will be on final disposal and underground spatial planning.
