New M.Sc. specialization program "Repository Safety"

The Chair of Repository Safety now offers the English-taught Master’s Program "Repository Safety". The program is part of the Master's degree program “Raw materials engineering” and focuses on repository safety and subsurface utilization.

The course covers topics such as repository concepts,  repository design, site selection processes, safety analyses, underground storage facilities, geothermal energy and water resources.

Former program phased out

Due to restructuring efforts the Chair of Nuclear Engineering and Technology Transfer (NET) is now the Chair of Repository Safety and the Master’s Program Nuclear Safety Engineering in cooperation with the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, the Department of Simulation in Nuclear Engineering and the Research Center Jülich has been discontinued.
